Over the span of multiple weeks, the American president commenced revealing the public his designs for an ornate dance hall twice the size of the White House and then began unilaterally ripping down the eastern section to erect it.
He has performed deeds countless times more severe – the existing assessment of fatalities due to his slashing to international aid is 600,000 and increasing, and recently research forecast his energy policies would result in fatalities 1.3 million more. Yet nothing as characteristic. No previous president would have attempted – truly, no former commander would have imagined – unilaterally destroying large sections of the White House in order to erect a palace-inspired entertainment space, with the enthusiastic participation of numerous America's wealthiest, almost all of whom have business with federal agencies.

As disorienting as it is to watch the leader seek to颠覆 the traditional concept of democracy and replace it with its direct contrary, there remains a substantial portion within America who might not perceive it totally unfamiliar. This includes individuals like us – within elder demographics close to half – who were brought up as conventional Protestant believers.
We have observed over the years as rightwing evangelical churches turned the Jesus we grew up with into the complete reverse of our perception of his character. At its most basic, they turned a figure of compassion into a figure of hate who endorses precisely the cruelties that he criticized in scripture; this has happened more slowly, across decades rather than months, yet it remains disconcerting in the same ways, a disorienting gut punch for many of us.
A Damaging Christianity Establishes Itself
Hence I shall explain the Savior from my childhood, since in theory the Savior is the core of any Christian faith, and because the rapidly expanding group within America might have little sense of him since they are atheists or agnostics or spiritual independents. A Struggle for the Best of Us
