In a surprising partnership that breaks traditional predictions, the game developer has announced an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering free additional story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Disclosed

According to the official release, "A mysterious meeting leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where whispers of prohibited ceremonies and monstrous changes resonate through the darkness." The storyline features a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a hidden group.

The questline focuses on "strange trials and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Locations and Transformations

The preview highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview concludes with a striking scene showing a character, presumably the captive, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Rewards and Extra Features

Players who successfully complete the mission will acquire an special katana together with several artifacts hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
